Should the government get into the M/A business?

There is no doubt that inflated drug pricing is a problem in our country. Rather than getting tangled than a neverending battle with drug companies and insurance companies, some experts (in the linked article below) believe that the government would save money on Hep C treatment and its complications if they just simply acquired Gilead. Quite the novel approach...your thoughts?
