Job Description
Must be ACMG board certified or board eligible.
GeneDx is rapidly growing CLIA-Certified diagnostic genetics laboratory. We provide cutting edge technologies for genetic molecular diagnostics and offer vital, new-platform products in the critical area of molecular diagnostics. We specialize in genetic testing for rare hereditary disorders, but also test for common disorders. Our core mission is to make clinical testing available to people with genetic conditions and their families.
Because of our tremendous growth, we are in search for an Assistant Director for our Cardiogenetics Programs.
Overview:
The Assistant Director will work closely with genetic counselors, PhD’s and clinical directors on managing and expanding this program. You will evaluate and interpret complex test results, write and review result reports, develop and review information materials, participate in quality management, and development of new tests.
Core Responsibilities:
Provide skilled management and interpretation of complex cases
Review and sign result reports
Participate in and coordinate development of new tests for the cardiogenetics program
Evaluate test performance, contribute to improve workflow, test quality and turnaround time
Serve as consultant to GeneDx clients
Represent GeneDx at conferences and contribute to publications
Requirements
Qualifications:
Show appropriate judgment as it pertains to diagnostic and predictive testing, excellent time management, and communication skills
ACMG board certified or board eligible
