As is the Opko bump from FDA approval of Ngenla. In fact the bump has receded into a little hole.

As for year to date returns, LLY and TALK are both healthcare companies, with 56% and 234% YTD returns, respectively. The performance of LLY, given its size as a global behemoth, is clearly more impressive, and much more meaningful, than the returns of the two smaller companies. As for TALK and OPK, both were, and still are, de facto penny stocks. But the return of the former is 8x that of the latter. And, interestingly, it's being led by an Opko flunky.

Well at least you recognize the failure Opko's stock price represents, albeit you do so euphemistically....'disappointing'. Lol, ya think?

As for the rest of your comment, I'm not surprised that you are having comprehension troubles. After all, you think that ModeX did an IPO in 2000.

It might help you to see the truth of Phil's Frost's abject, profound failure as CEO, and the unmitigated disaster of the stock price that has ensued from his deleterious mix of incompetence, deal structure ignorance, due diligence failures, and capital structure destruction if you pay less attention, and devote less effort, to getting me locked up, and think a little more about the issues I raised in my post on FLNT, one of his 'investments.' Our CEO, having already mortally wounded his shareholders with penny stock antics, somehow found time yesterday to buy more stock in Fluent. Which would be just fine, if he was hitting home runs in Rayaldee sales or 4K uptake. I would prefer that he work on those two areas, and leave the stock trading to his retirement, when he'll have all day to channel his inner crow, and peck at the run-over dead squirrels in his portfolio. 

Now, that first sentence is, I know, rather complex in structure. And somehow I constructed it in the afternoon hours. Not only do I rarely partake of alcohol, I am actually allergic to kool-aid. Which accounts for pertinence and lucidity of the gist my comments: there are management teams that focus on shareholders, and there are those that, well, do not. And the stock prices of the respective companies which they run, while not trading their personal portfolio, largely reflect that. Pharma, and biotech in general, are sectors that rarely, if ever, are considered as value plays. And that's because they are, as a practical matter, simply not value stocks. If anything, they often get ahead of themselves and trade at valuations that Ben Graham would consider absurd. But that's the reality. So you've got LLY, which hit a 52 week high about a week ago (and has since traded off, yet still returned 51+% so far YTD), and is trading at more than a 50 PE multiple on next year's earnings. And then you've got PFE, which hit a 52 week low just today, and now trades at a 7.6 current PE, 9.8x next year's estimate. One made billions during the pandemic, but can't seem to now manage its way out of a paper bag. The other is making billions for shareholders now, and didn't require pandemic revenue to give its owners healthy returns in the many years leading up to the recent explosion in diabetes/weight loss products. Is PFE a 'value' at current prices? Maybe, but probably not while the current CEO is still paying himself more than any other in the industry.

Neither PFE nor OPK is like a railroad stock with a bunch of low cost, undervalued real estate, that can't be duplicated, on its balance sheet. They are in competitive businesses with assets that have defined average lives of peak revenue, due to patent law. Therefore, they need to constantly innovate. They need to reinvent, allocate cash judiciously, and execute with precision on the products that they do have. If they do these things, the stock prices will reflect those successes. If not, the guttered doldrums is where they will remain.
