Now, it’s thought that the new strain could be up to 70% more transmissible than the original strain of the disease

Yes, Miami.
Has lots of implications on many levels.

I can't predict the future. However, IMHO we will have to live with this virus forever.
Much like the common cold and the flu.
There will be variants/mutations of Corona virus.
This one is the third I believe. SARS, MERS and COVID-19

We will need a multifaceted approach to combat this disease.
Vaccines, therapeutics and other methods in multiple combinations.

COCP scheduled to announce, possibly 2 Preclinical Lead Molecule candidates in the next few days.
One licensed from KSURF the other developed using COCP's proprietary discovery platform technology.
Multiple shots on goal.

I agree with you, crusher. By all means, we have to get it under control. When I see what is currently happening in CA, for ex. it is scary. I can never recall a regular flu season causing such pandemonium in the ICUs or with health care providers. Nothing more need be said about the effect on our way of life. I am back in COCP for a while and intend to add. My grandmother told me stories of little friends lost in 1918, and never in my lifetime did I think this would happen. When you compare the 1918 pandemic and this one (which is far from over) what surprises me most is that we have so much more technology, so much more experience....and here we are again. I'm happy to invest in any company that has a legitimate chance of mitigating this and future epidemics. Ma
