Well, if you've read this far, might I suggest that there are benefits accruing to The Powers That Be when a public is fearful. They will inevitably turn to the TPTB to save them, and in so doing, surrender this or that freedom. And if you have any remnant of doubt about that, maybe you should actually read what is in the Patriot Act which was passed subsequent to 911. You won't like what much of what you read if you do.
