My chart for OPKO (for the newbies)

Love the cartoons. And all it takes is to read a lot about charting. Given your obvious intelligence, you will see that charting only suggests. An oil filled tanker can't turn around inside of a mile, but the market can.

Left to the influences of a free market, certain things are obvious. Too bad we don't have a free market.

Point being, charting does not predict the future. It suggests what might be likely or unlikely. And then some robot does something inexplicable, and you end up with being lost at sea.

Thing is, what used to be based on short term indications, thanks to algos and HFT and dark pools, are not so much anymore. Up one day, down the next is the rule rather than the exception.

Still, if one extends the time frame, as your cartoons suggest, charting can still be useful for the longer run.
