Alright, so we are told that, what, 170K (let's not quibble about exact numbers) children are flooding our borders, and they will be reunited with their "parents." The important message is "to be reunited with their parents."
Oh goodie. Who could possibly be against the reunification of a family. Hells bells, Dr. Phil is all about reuniting the family. Amen.
So then, we are to believe that some 10's of thousand of parents fled the triangle countries leaving their kids behind? Think about that for a moment. Then think about why nobody in either camp of media has never questioned the probability of leaving your kids behind while you go to El Norte.
Would you? Who are these "parents" who so cleverly calculated this change in policy so far in advance?
How far in advance? Well, if the kid they left behind was a year old and is now 5? 17? That would mean they snuck across the border in 2017? 2004? I'd say that's some advance planning on the part of these "parents." I'd say that is some demonstration of great patience and forbearance on the part of these "parents." I'd bet a dollar you wouldn't have such mettle where your kid was concerned.
Is it not strange that we are fed this "sending the kids to their parents" fiction and nobody from either faction of the media questions it? For that matter, nobody from either party in Congress has called BS on it. Lots of numbers are cited. Characterizations of the matter are argued (it's a crisis, it's a challenge). Lots of expressions of concern about children, the conditions they suffered in a long, dangerous journey, the predations, the inhumane abuses are thrown about.
Lots of money expended in "caring for" these child pawns.
To be fair, now and then there's a mild suggestion that we have no way of knowing to whom these kids are being delivered, but not much more than just a passing thought.
But the bottom line is, we are to understand that 10's of thousands parents left their children behind while making plans to one day get them here. We are to understand that these parents waited until Biden was in office who on day one rescinded Trump's policies. Then these parents arranged to entrust their children to the cartels and the coyotes to march them a thousand miles or so to the US border.
Sorry, but that doesn't sound like any parent I know or ever knew, and I've known some that barely deserved the name "parent."
So, again, why is it possible that this charade is seemingly swallowed by the media, Congress, and absent a chorus of dissention from the general public, most people?
Have the past 17 months or so of COVID-related conditioning to obey and not question been that much of a success?
