Excellent point, but it presumes that all of the constant complainers are actually "in." I always bear in mind that no one here knows for sure who is posting here and why. Just sayin. Ma

Good point, gutset. And the converse is just as good, namely "In a logical world one would assume that those who always complain is because they are short, since they should not have any reason to cease complaining as long as it is working."

Look, I think people have emotional reasons for complaining. Not that it ever has done any good, but that's just venting frustration. To do it over and over again, citing pretty much the same grievances each time, and with no changes on the horizon, suggests that these people regard the rest as too dense to comprehend certain statements.

Number one: Emotions, while an unavoidable human trait, have no business in investing.

Number two: Complaining about the same things endlessly is obviously a waste of time, on the part of the complainant and on the part of readers of same. Logically, upon the n^th issuance of the same old complaint, if nothing changes, then the next such complaint becomes predictable as to content.

At some point, an expression of dissatisfaction becomes simple nagging. Anybody here like nagging?

Question: can you post something that would perhaps be the opposite of complaining? Which some would actually call facts. 

So please, post something that investors should interpret as positive for the company. And instead of asking why some of us guys don't "just get out," how about giving us guys a reason to buy more. So, please post something complimentary about the company that we can use as an investment thesis. Thank you.

One of the most frustrating things is to watch people complain about complainers without offering anything of value in return.  It reminds me of the corporate reply-all email, where someone clicks reply-all to complain about someone else clicking reply-all.  And it goes on for about 15 email messages...and on and on.  I know I have mentioned this before.

Yes, I have some PTSD from this at work which just makes me cringe.  You can click delete or you can message the person directly (and only them), and then get on with your life.  

Like it or not, but Due Diligence includes both sides of the equation in stocks: Buying and Selling, and the reasons to do or not do one or the other.

I think icemandios summed it up well in the shout box once not too long ago: Complaining about The Complainers is nagging, and nobody likes nagging.

I for one appreciate the perspective and comparisons to other companies, other management teams, other stocks, etc.  Because at the end of the day, Stocks are an Order of Merit list.  Where they are all ranked with peers and the good ones are on top, the bad ones at the bottom.  There is only "so much money to be invested" (Federal Reserve/Treasury aside) and that money flows to the top of the pack and some speculative money flows to the middle if management can convince investors they are on the cusp of moving to the top.

If there is one hard lesson I have learned, it's that great management can take a boring company to the moon.  The converse is true, boring management can take promising technology to the dirt.
