(NASDAQ: PULM), a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing innovative inhaled therapies to address serious pulmonary and non-pulmonary disease using its patented iSPERSE™ technology, today announced that it has closed its previously announced registered direct offering with certain healthcare-focused institutional investors for the sale of 20,000,000 shares of its common stock for gross proceeds of $40,000,000 , prior to deducting placement agent's fees and other offering expenses.
H.C. Wainwright & Co. acted as the exclusive placement agent for the offering.
The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for working capital and general corporate purposes.
The shares of common stock were offered by Pulmatrix pursuant to a "shelf" registration statement on Form S-3 (File No. 333-230225) previously filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC") on March 12, 2019 and declared effective by the SEC on March 15, 2019 .
