Per the Miami Herald over 30,000 Dade Countians are at least 3 months behind in their electric bills.
Residential landlords are cutting deals right and left accepting reduced or delayed rents.
And I predict, from my actual, true and real life experience (which some here find so abhorrent) that the next domino will be residential mortgage foreclosures....barring some sort of government action.
Having seen and predicted the housing collapse in my neck of the woods a couple of years in advance and actually seeing what when on with the lenders, I base this on what I saw with my own two eyes: Many mortgage bailouts were given to people who were not really credit worthy and who, in collusion with lenders, falsified their creds. Partway into the pandemic and they are unable to pay.
If I was a recent graduate or even just a laid off person, I'd get retrained in TECH and save up for a small RV. I'd do a lot of things differently. But sadly for most of us, experience is the only teacher --- history is ridiculed.
Rant over, Miami
