Quest 50 percent demand increase in past three weeks

Funny you should mention this. We just returned from the first ever PRC test we've needed. We were exposed to a woman whose grown son refused to be vaxed. So natch he got COVID, Mom felt OK, no stinking test for her....went to a party where we were seated next to her and 3 days later SHE also tested positive.

My better half is scheduled for a medical procedure July 5th 7 am. My quest for an available test of any sort anywhere in South Florida was long and hard. All the pharmacies were booked. That's a lotta pharmacies. His hospital wants a PCR test (yes he had one yesterday at the hospital but another has now been requested).  We got one at another hospital's urgent care facility. What's my point? ....there's an uptick in cases and cutbacks in staffing at testing sites....it's been an enlightening experience. I don't think testing is dead. But it seems like Covid and people's reactions to it create s a lousy business model.

Got the PCR negative Sat. Then Sun pm we heard that a different person I was in fairly close contact with through Friday had gone to a wedding early last week and learned yesterday  that all the bridal party's family tested positive. Our friends took a home test, she's positive, he's negative. Due to the timing of my husband's surgery, (I needed a computer program for all this and gave up) we keep testing using the home tests. But I don't think my PCR test from Sat. would show a Friday exposure.

I figure his surgery will be rescheduled. But heck, at least it's not a matter of life and death. And we were not careful enuf....
I can't help observing that a lot more people were dying before the vax and the meds that are being dispersed after you test positive.  I currently know a lot of people with COVID with zero to very annoying symptoms. A far cry from the early days.   

ANothery friend's two babies  just got infected by grandparents who returned from a cruise as unknown carriers....plus, the mother but not the father. caught it.  The other grandmother picked it up on vacation somewhere else.....
I'd say it's back...partly because we are all being more .... careless. BRLI may have a testing future sooner rather than later.

Speaking only for myself, I understand that we got out on parole and now no one wants to go back to jail. Me included. 

In my family's case, there was only one PCR taken (out of 7), with ~ two dozen instant test taken.
