interesting...thanks. What is emergetechnology.net? It has a pretty high share continuously - the site doesn't work for me nor have I heard of it. Relatedly, interesting, but why do we much care except if doctor says go to bioreference in which case they will google bioreference. the nyu is from nyu contract, etc. I wonder what emergetechnology is. And what was this Apple thing? Quest integrated with a bunch of different ones and bioref does apple when people don't want them to have data? What do we gain? I also don't get their lab strategy - no employers, no rapid test, lowest price pcr - they haven't innovated in months. Rayaldee they haven't finished enrolling. Do we know if for the first set of patients they have the results (i.e. oct 26-dec 1 people would be done with 4 weeks, which is should be more than half. By the way - how did Frost buy on the 29th with inside information? He knew the quarter he knew pfizer he knew bills lol.
From this and the previous snapshot you can see that testing results logins for BRL dipped under 250k for sept and Oct. with the massive spike following the surge in Dec. and Jan. Although Feb went down it's still roughly 60% percent above Oct. levels.
Vaccine rollout hasn't yet impacted highly vaccinated populations like United Arab Emirates which is currently spiking in covid cases has 62.73 doses per 100 people with 10M people. That is more than 2x doses given in the U.S. It's certainly not the best case to predict the future because of hundreds of other variables including the UAE using AstraZeneca, BioNTech, Sinopharm, and Sputnik V vaccines, but it's the closest thing I have right now.
It certainly looks like testing will level out at these levels following the case count if not spike from all the re-openings, undoing mask mandates, and no social distancing restrictions. Schools coming back to in-person learning have shown to be mass spreading events no matter how the news spins it. How could Georgia follow protocol better to get kids to wear their masks when they can't stop kids from having sex in the bathrooms and fighting in class? I watch kids mask-less in huge groups at schools right now where I live. The U.S. has other countries telling us what's going to happen: apnews.com/article/europe-england-coronavirus-pandemic-france-milan-2b4e8c5092db92c38194884a4b8049e4 and nothing will change.
Here are the site impressions for login.bioreference.com over the months/quarters that I have access to on similarweb.com. The subdomain is where people have to login to get their test results. There is data missing like the uniques vs. returning visitors, etc but it's across the board and you can see they pulled off almost 30% more in q1. They weren't sure how bad March would drop off, which is seeming to level out, aligning with U.S. testing levels and cases. I'll leave the speculation to the other threads on BRL pivoting from "demand driven — to more of a screening and surveillance testing" but BRL looks like they are ahead of the game.
